The NYC Retrofit Accelerator is part of the City’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050. This program is a one-stop resource for owners and operators of privately-owned buildings who want to increase the value and sustainability of their properties through energy and water upgrades while making a positive impact on our environment.
Owners of single-family homes, and those owning as many as four-family homes, are not eligible for this program. If you are an owner of a 1-4 family house or building, you can visit the GreeNYC website for tips on how to save energy.
Efficiency advisers are trusted experts that can help building owners and operators comply with the City’s building energy regulations, such as Local Law 87 Energy Audits and Clean Heat regulations. Advisers can also provide advice on how to make buildings more efficient.

Solar Installation Projects
This program can help eligible property owners with resources to assist with solar installation. If you do not qualify, you can get information from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA).
